GadgetTrak® for iPhone is an extension of GadgetTrak's patented tracking technology for portable media devices. When activated GadgetTrak® for iPhone provides location and other useful information when the application is started. The application icon is designed to look like the Safari app.

If a thief accesses your iPhone, they will click on the disguised application to access the Internet. The application will pass network and location data to the GadgetTrak server, then it will open a web browser that goes to a homepage of your choosing in the configuration pane.

The owner of the device can log into the GadgetTrak control panel to view detailed information regarding the location of the device, including GPS coordinates, maps, IP address, carrier or ISP data and more.

To install follow these directions:

1.Download the free application from the App Store

2. Once installed go to the Settings menu on your iPhone or iPod Touch and go to the GadgetTrak menu.

3. In the settings pane enter a URL you want to have open when the software is activated (GadgetTrak will run in the background when this page opens).

4. Enter your device serial number, this can be found by connecting your device to iTunes and selecting your device, you will see it listed with your device information.

5. Go to your home screen, click on the GadgetTrak application. You will be directed to a free registration page. Enter an email address, this will be used to send notifications as well as as your login to activate tracking. Enter a password for your account.

6. Once the regisration is completed you will be logged in, you can activate tracking to test the application.

7. To enable tracking log into your account at http://www.gadgettrak.com to activate tracking for your device.

You will need to activate the application a few times, a prompt will appear asking permission for your location, after you allow permission a few times, this will no longer appear.

8. Move the current Safari application to a different screen, by clicking on it and dragging it to the right.

9. Drag the GadgetTrak for iPhone application to where the Safari icon was replacing it.
